Not Your Old Bean Bag Chair

I remember having an old vinyl bean bag chair when I was a kid. I would spend hours in that bean bag watching TV, playing games or just hanging around. It was a sad day when we finally had to get rid of it because the seams started to come apart and Styrofoam beads were everywhere.

Bean bag chairs have come a long way since I was a kid many years ago. Yes, the old vinyl bean bags still exist, although they are of better quality and are far safer for children with their specially designed child proof zippers. Now they also come in faux fur, animal print, micro fiber, team sport logos and many more. There are even bean bags for kids that look like stuffed animals, footballs and baseballs, as well as bean bags made with mesh that can be used outdoors. Some of the newer bean bag chairs may not even be bean bags at all, instead they are filled with shredded memory foam typically found in mattresses and can be up to 8 feet long, taking the place of a sofa or loveseat. They are great for kids’ rooms, game rooms, home theaters, family rooms, dorm rooms or just about anywhere you want a comfortable place to sit.

With so many fabrics, colors, shapes and sizes to choose from, bean bags can be a fun and unique addition to your home decor. Sean Butler
